Garnier Skin active (Moisture rescue) refreshing gel-cream review

Hi, my Angels!

So I have been using the Clinique moisture surge for a long time and absolutely in love with it. But let’s get real it is an expensive moisturizer. So when I searched online I found a dupe for it and today I have for you the Garnier Skin active (Moisture rescue) refreshing gel-cream review right here. Although it isn’t yet available in India right now, just on Amazon at way expensive price. I got this one from a friend of mine while they were returning from Canada. So without further ado let’s get right to the review and see what I felt about the product.

The product comes in a cardboard outer packaging. The jar itself is made of glass and seems of good quality. Although, it can break and one needs to be careful while traveling with it for sure.

Garnier Skin active (Moisture rescue) refreshing gel-cream review: My Experience:

Garnier Skin active (Moisture rescue) refreshing gel-cream review

I have combination skin and in winters it gets really dry. I avoid cream-based moisturizer on my skin as it feels heavy. This cream is like a light moisturizing drink for my skin. It quickly gets absorbed in the skin without getting greasy or heavy on the skin which makes the face feel light even after applying moisturizer.

After application, the cream dries quickly so I can easily use it before applying makeup. This makes my makeup look better. It is more of a gel than cream. I used this moisturizer 2 times a day. A very little amount is required for applying on the skin. The fragrance of the cream is too strong and I didn’t like it at all. Although it claims to lock moisture for 24 hours the effect lasts for 3 hours at max.

I usually don’t break out but after using this one I noticed small acne showing up that went away as soon as I stopped using it. And I haven’t gone close to it again :D.

Pros:

1. It is a gel-based refreshing lightweight moisturizer for daily use.
2. On application gets quickly absorbed in the skin.
3. It is oil-free.
4. It is easy to apply.

Cons:

1. The cream is expensive.
2. It has a perfume based fragrance not natural hence some may find its smell strong or uncomfortable causing dizziness, headache.
3. Although it’s oil-free it contains alcohol which might leave dry patches on the skin or will make skin drier.

Ratings:

2/5

Do I recommend it?

No, I won’t be recommending this gel-cream to anyone. When it comes to quality the product just fails.

Will I repurchase?

No, I did not see any other outstanding results other than soft skin which other cheaper creams can also offer.
