Rimmel stay matte powder review

So today I have for you the rimmel stay matte powder review and I have this in the shade Amber. It is available in total seven shades in India and I’d say Rimmel has impressed me with that. It is important to get the shade that matches to your skin color, otherwise your face just ends up looking cakey and that doesn’t look good at all.

Price:

INR 250 for 14 gm. Although I got this one for INR 125 from Nykaa on sale.

Packaging:

I absolutely hate the packaging. It is made of flimsy plastic and it actually came slightly cracked, you will be able to see that in picture. It does not come with a sponge or anything, so you have to use your brush for it, but I cannot expect that much in this price range either only if it wasn’t delivered this way, I might have not paid much attention. I really liked the fact that as you open it, there is a little design over it, that’s cute.

Rimmel stay matte powder My experience:

So as much as I don’t like the packaging, I absolutely loved the product itself. So my shade is amber and the texture of the powder is really smooth and fine. It has a very light flowery fragrance that goes away in few minutes. I have really light dark circles, but they are visible, and without the use of any concealer or foundation this powder covered it up completely. I was absolutely amazed with the result. It stays for about 4 to 5 hours. I have dry sensitive skin, it did not irritate my skin at all. I did not expect this much from a compact honestly, but I have to say this is really good.

Pros:

• Keeps the face matte for about five hours
• Does not contain Parabens.
• Covers light skin discoloration, but nothing to deep.
• Does not give flash back in flash photography.
• Very Affordable.
• Good shade range.
• Light weight and blends easily.

Cons:

• Packaging could have been slightly better.

Do I recommend Rimmel stay matte powder ?

YES YES YES!!! I highly recommend this one, just make sure you buy a shade according to your skin shade. This is a budget friendly product that works really well. It does what it claims and even more.

Will I repurchase?

Even if they don’t improve the packaging. I will still buy this one again and again and again for the simple reason that the product itself works for me.
