Keeping this in mind, I am going to review one of the Lakme Lipsticks I bought recently that is Lakme 9to5 Lip Color- Brownie point. Ingredients:

This range of Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Color contains vitamin E and wheat germ oil. It has a shelf life of 24 months.

Formula:

The formula of this lip color is very comfortable and light weight. Also, the scent is mild and does not bother. It does not dry out lips but for already dry and chapped lips it might settle in the crease. A swipe of lip balm before application should make things easier for dry and chapped lips.

My Experience with Lakme 9to5 Lipstick- Brownie Point:

The texture of the Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Color is smooth, creamy, and glides on the lips without tugging. I have always been a huge fan of Lakme 9 to 5 lipsticks. A single swipe of Lakme 9to5 Lip Color- Brownie Point gives a semi-sheer coverage. It is not highly pigmented like the other shades in this range but pigmentation can be increased with multiple swipes. Brownie point is a level above peach in pigmentation that is, it is not too brown. Although it appears pure brown inside the tube, it looks light brown on the lips. If layered heavily, it turns a little darker. It can easily last for about 4 hours if you are not eating or drinking. The color is not extremely bold like the Lakme 9to5 Lipstick Red Coat, so you can easily wear it during office hours and for a casual day out. Although there are a few things which I didn’t like about this Lakme 9to5 lipstick. It started to dry out my lips pretty soon after application. It is super matte, so if you apply multiple swipes to achieve more pigmentation it can easily get cakey and spoil your look.

Do I recommend buying this Lakme 9to5 Lip Color?

No. Due to its lack of moisturizing properties and cakey appearance on multiple swipes, I wouldn’t recommend this Lakme 9to5 Lip Color. But if you are looking for a matte shade strictly for office wear or a casual day out and you are ready to apply lots of lip balm underneath, you can give this shade from Lakme 9 to 5 color range a try.
