The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Butter Review

If you have been using lotions and creams but your skin fails to beat the winter impact chances are you need something more intense and deeply nourishing than just a lotion. Come winters and my skin especially the legs get flaky, dry, dark and red because of itching caused by dry skin. While treating your dry skin with oils is a wise choice it is not really practical to wear it when out or at work. In that case, one can opt for Body butter. I happened to try a body butter by The Body Shop and here I am with the body shop pink grapefruit body butter review.

1.Packaging:

The product comes in a tub like pinkish plastic packaging with a screw cap. It is light in weight, leakage proof, sturdy and flat enough to slide in any of your sling bags or hand purse. I love tub like packaging more over tubes as it ensures minimum wastage of product. Many might argue on this that such packaging is less hygienic but personally I love this style of packaging.

5.My experience:

The formula of this body butter is light in application, which is rare with body butters. It smoothly glides over skin and gets absorbed instantly. Unlike many winter body balms or butters, this one does not leave any white cast. The product has a very faint tint of pink color.

It smells amazing! I am not a big fan of floral scents, this one is right between fruity and citrusy. The smell stays for long and does not really irritate, a light scent lingers throughout the day. If you notice the skin and flakiness I had and around 1.5month long use of this body butter my skin has healed and is very soft and supple.

The texture is not at all greasy and hence I tend to keep this in my handbag and apply it to the go whenever I am out working or studying and feel the need to moisturize my hands. I prefer applying this immediately after a bath when skin is moist.

Also, I apply it only to the problem areas like dry feet, knees, hands, arms and so on. It is a great option for a bedtime heavy nourishment of the skin as well. I simply rub it on my hands and legs and wrap them in a piece of woolen cloth. This gives me a very soft, bouncy skin on the next day.

This cream is not exactly for cracked heels but I have noticed that it has made my heels less sore and a continual application of the same will heal the dryness on heels as well.

6.Pros:

•Refreshing fragrance
•Non greasy
•Instantly absorbed
•Heals dry and flaky skin
•Fragrance remains for longer period of time
•Packaging is perfect
•Leaves no white cast

7.Cons:

•Price
•Some might find tub packaging less hygienic
•This particular fragrance is not easily available at the body shop stores in India

8.Do I recommend buying the body shop pink grapefruit body butter?

Yes, if you need a deep nourishing cream in harsh winters then body shop butters are really a good choice and it did heal my skin.
