Lakme 9to5 Lipstick Red Coat review

No makeover is ever complete without a swatch of your favorite lipstick. Keeping this in mind, I am going to review one of my favorite Lakme Lipsticks that is Lakme 9to5 Lipstick Red Coat. The Lakme 9 to 5 range has shades that would go with many skin tones and is affordable. I hope this Lakme 9to5 Lipstick Red Coat review turns out to be helpful.

This range of  Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Color contains vitamin E and wheat germ oil with a shelf life of 24 months.

The formula is very comfortable and for matte lips to be so light and easy on lips is rare. Also, the scent is very mild and does not bother or stay for long. It does not dry out lips but for already dry and chapped lips it might end up settling in the crease. A swipe of lip balm under this should make things easy for dry chapped lips.

Product Description:

‘Lakme Nine to Five brings you a range of 15 shades that sit on your lips all day long. Enriched with Vitamin E; it conditions your lips & softens them with wheat germ oil. So, perk those soft, smooth lips with a touch of matte.’

My Experience with Lakme 9to5 Lipstick- Red Coat:

I have always been a huge fan of Lakme 9 to 5 lipsticks. The texture of the Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Color is smooth, creamy, and glides on the lips without tugging.  It brightens my face instantly with its bold color. A single swipe gives a semi-sheer coverage and pigmentation can be increased with multiple swipes. It has the right amount of matte effect to it, does not look like some paint rubbed on lips, which usually is the case with many of the matte lipsticks. The color seems a bit glossy at first but turns matte within minutes and sets on your lips for a good amount of time. It can easily last for about 4 hours if you are not eating or drinking. It has a mild orangish fragrance. It doesn’t bleed due to its matte texture and does not feel heavy on the lips. I also use this as a stain by blotting my lips on a tissue paper and instead of using it for full lip application. It gets a little drying on me, of course, nothing that a lip balm cannot fix.
