Vampire and love and….. Fashion! Yes, it was only when I saw the television series based on The Vampire diaries books that I realized how Elena, Stefan, and Damon give us some serious fashion goals. Notice the chiseled face, smokey eyes, all black attire – I have been attempting looks inspired by Nina Dobrev and the smokey Katherine Pierce look with a perfectly contoured face has seriously helped me improve my make up skills.
This can be your go-to party look with minimum basic color palettes.
For Katherine Pierce look you will need:
- Eye makeup brushes
- Kohl pencil
- Eyeshadow – black and brown shades
- Eyelash curler
- False eyelashes
- Glossy natural lipstick
- Foundation/ BB cream
- Setting powder
1. ) To begin with, we need to make sure that the skin looks supple, hydrated and shine-free. Wait did I just say hydrated and shine-free in one line? How can one achieve that? I prefer using Lakme Absolut blur perfect primer to hide the pores and help stay the makeup longer and hey don’t forget to prime your eyelids, you can also go for Nars eyeshadow base as a primer. A tinted BB cream or foundation on this will ensure a clean base to start with.
2.) Starting with eyes, use angled brush apply some brown eyeshadow from upper lashline extending to the natural crease and slightly above it. This will give your eyes a warm look and then use a nude color on the inner section of the lids highlight the lid.
3.) Now proceed with a mauvy brown eye shadow and buff it on the crease. Here begins the smokey effect. Use a blending brush and blend the colors on the crease.
4.) Now comes the black! Using a small eye makeup brush highlight outer V of the eyes with black color. Give it defined outline and then blend again with a blending brush.
5.) Using eyeliner line the upper lashline finely with a thin stroke and don’t extend it to a cat eye. Just line the lashes perfectly. I use the Blue heaven eyeliner. Click here to read its full product review!
6.) Tightline the eyes with a kohl pencil. Maybelline Colossal Kajal works the best for me! Dab some black eyeshadow on lower lash line.
7.) Fill the eyebrows with a light brown eyebrow pencil. Use an eyelash curler (Vega Premium eyelash curler works for me) and curl the lashes. Apply some mascara and false eyelashes for that perfect defined dramatic eyes. I prefer the Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara. Click here to read the full product review.
8.) Do not forget to conceal the under eye areas with a good waterproof concealer using a beauty blender for a more polished look. Check out this reasonably priced beauty blender that gives the exact same results as the original one!
9.) Use a setting powder and set it on the face. Use a cream eyeshadow on brow bone and inner corners to highlight the eyes and a bronzer and contour the face- cheeks, and jawline for the vampire-like chiseled face.
10.) Add some blush to the cheeks. Finish this look with Revlon Just bitten lip stain and balm. You are ready to flaunt your gorgeous Katherine Pierce look now!
